Egypt bourse loses 167 pts at open

Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) dropped at Tuesday’s open by 1.40% or 167 points to the level of 11,855.9 points.

By 10:23am Cairo time, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50 indices retreated 0.83%, 0.82%, and 1.85%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 36.7 million shares, as turnover amounted to EGP 118 million.

Local and Arab investors were net sellers by EGP 3.4 million and EGP 9.78 million, respectively, while net purchases by foreign investors came to EGP 13 million.

The National Real Estate Bank for Development shrank 6.86%, Citadel Capital fell 6.6%, AMOC declined 5.82%, and TMG Holding slipped 5.02%.

The Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) slid 1.01% to EGP 71.3.
