Egypt bourse opens in red zone

Cairo – Mubasher: EGX indices saw a slide in Tuesday’s early trading on a selling wave by Arab and national investors.

By 10:18am Cairo time, the main gauge (EGX30) fell 13.8 points, or 0.18%, to the mark of 7,631 points.

Likewise, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 moved down 0.22% to 369.7 points and the broader index EGX100 opened 0.18% lower to 782.9 points.

The largest EGX30 constituent CIB was 0.21% down to EGP 43.5 by 10:19am Cairo time.

Arab and foreign investors were net sellers by EGP 1.4 million and EGP 669,600 respectively, while Egyptians were net buyers by EGP 2.1 million.

By 10:19am Cairo time, trading value recorded EGP 23.4 million after 9.7 million shares were traded.
