Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange indices rose in Wednesday’s early session, as the benchmark index gained 1.71% to reach 6,534 points backed by leading stocks.
The equal weighted index EGX50 also rose by 1.2% to 1,103 points, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 added 0.92% to 353.3 points and the broader index EGX100 advanced by 0.62% to 746.6 points.
Turnover amounted to EGP 135.4 million, upon trading 91.4 million shares in 4,200 transactions.
National and Arab traders were net buyers by EGP 9.1 million and EGP 119,800 respectively, while foreign traders came in as net sellers by EGP 9.2 million.
CIB stock rose by 2.6% to EGP 44.9, while Global Telecom jumped by 8.8% to EGP 1.85.
