Egypt builds 4 axes in Upper Egypt at EGP 5.3bn

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is currently building four new axes over the Nile River in Upper Egypt at a total cost of EGP 5.3 billion.

Extending for 5.4 kilometres,  the alternative axis for Aswan High Dam is being established at a cost of EGP 1.5 billion, according to a statement by the Ministry of Transport on Monday. The new axis consists of two main bridges.

In Aswan, Daraw axis is being constructed at a length 17 km at a cost of EGP 1.4 billion, while Kalabsha axis, extending for 23 km, is being built at a cost of EGP 1.050 billion.

Moreover, the 19-km Qous axis is being established in Qena at a cost of EGP 1.350 billion.
