Egypt builds El-Fardous axis phase I with EGP 1.2bn

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has started building the first phase of a new axis called El-Fardous in Cairo at an estimated cost of EGP 1.2 billion, head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction, Mahmoud Nassar, said.

The new axis is aimed at reducing traffic congestion through connecting Salah Salem road with El-Moshir Axis, Nassar added in a statement on Monday.

The first phase of the project, which will have a length of 8,600 metres, is expected to be complete within six months.

Nassar affirmed that no registered monument has been demolished in the area.
