Egypt buys 120,000 tonnes of wheat in int'l tender

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s ministry of supply and internal trade, represented by the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), has signed a contract to purchase 120,000 tonnes of wheat in an international tender.

The most populous Arab nation has agreed to purchase 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat and 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat, GASC said in a statement on Tuesday.

On 10 June, GASC launched a tender to buy unspecified amount of wheat from international suppliers to be shipped between 11-21 July.
