Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Public Authority of Supply has awarded Russian and Ukraine a contract in wheat tender to import 180,000 tonnes, said the Ministry of Supply in a press release on Wednesday.
Both Russia and Ukraine will deliver respectively 120,000 and 60,000 tonnes within ten days starting from the tenth of August at an average price of $173.3 per tonne, the press release revealed.
The authority buys wheat through commodity exchanges and different sources like Russia, France, Ukraine, Romania, US, Austria, and other countries to secure its strategic reserve.
