Cairo – Mubasher: With the exception of two firms, cement companies and plants in Egypt kept their maximum prices stable during April, according to the minister of supply and internal trade Khaled Hanafy.
He added on Saturday that the cement industry saw a decline in weekly production during the month to reach 1.037 million tonnes, compared to 1.480 million tonnes recorded in March this year.
Total supply grew to 1.94 billion tonnes in April, whereas total local market sales per week fell to 996,140 tonnes, he said, adding that a total of 6,660 tonnes were exported.
The minister said last month that firms and factories had kept their maximum prices stable in March.
