Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian government has connected 724,000 housing units to the national gas grid from July 2019 to January 2020, increasing the connected units to 10.75 million all over the country, Egyptian oil minister Tarek El-Molla stated on Friday.
During the second six months of FY19/20, a total of 476,000 units will be connected to the national gas grid, El-Molla added.
The minister noted that around 65,000 units were connected in the neediest villages, while 60,000 are planned to be connected.
