Egypt considers allocating land for $350m industrial complex in Aswan

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has received a request from a major company seeking to obtain a 400,000-square metre land plot to build an industrial complex in Edfu in the governorate of Aswan.

A company manufacturing potassium fertilizers plans to establish the project with an investment cost of $350 million, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) said in a statement released by the cabinet on Wednesday.

The potential project, pending the government’s approval, will create 700 direct jobs, the statement added.
