Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptians have received commodities from the new food subsidies system at EGP 1 billion since the beginning of July, said the Minister of Supply Khaled Hanafy.
Egypt's family card holders redeemed unused bread quota for commodities amounting to EGP 430 million and received subsidized commodities worth EGP 570 million.
It is noteworthy that Egypt monthly allocates EGP 500 million for unused bread quota redemption.
The government provides commodities for 11.5 million family card holders that cover 32 million citizens through 26,000 subsidized commodity groceries
