Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's Ministry of Agriculture denied reports claiming that strawberries being exported to the United States are contaminated with Hepatitis A, according to a statement on Wednesday.
"Egypt received no formal complaints from the US government and the samples were found free of any viruses or microbes and in line with the international health standards", the ministry said.
On Friday, US health officials announced that 17% cases of Hepatitis A were linked to the Tropical Smooth Café that was using frozen strawberries from Egypt.
