Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s finance minister Mohamed Maait denied plans to increase tax fees on electricity consumption and salaries as part of the ongoing amendments being made to the stamp tax law.

The country has no plans to implement such changes in the current period, Maait told reporters on the sidelines of Euromoney conference on Monday.

In July, the Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi approved a bill to amend some provisions of the stamp tax law no. 111 of 1980.
