Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s public business sector minister Hisham Tawfiq has inaugurated Horizon Shahrazad Hotel, owned by the Egyptian General Co. For Tourism & Hotels (Egoth), in Agouza district on Sunday.
The opening has been attended by the head of Holding Company for Tourism & Hotels (HOTAC) Mervat Hataba and Egoth’s chairman Sherif Bendary.
Tawfiq said that Misr Travel company will conduct a mobile phone app to promote tourism destinations and hotspots in Egypt in collaboration with the private sector.
The Egyptian government is coordinating with the private sector to encourage the one-day tours, he added, pointing out that tourists can visit Port Said Street and discover its unique monuments with only EGP 30.
For his part, Bendary said that Horizon Shahrazad Hotel has been developed within the framework of the partnership between the public and the private sectors at a cost of EGP 100 million with 200 rooms, the state-run news agency reported.
Egoth aims to provide various hospitality services, he indicated, noting that demand for the three-star hotels in Cairo is high as it suits most of the tourists.
