Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s government has allocated investments worth EGP 5.23 billion to develop the governorates of North and South Sinai during fiscal year 2019/2020, the country’s minister of planning Hala El-Saeed announced in a statement on Thursday.
Total value of government investments directed to the development of North Sinai amounted to EGP 2.85 billion, while an amount of EGP 2.38 billion has been allocated to South Sinai, El-Saeed added.
The development programmes to be implemented in Sinai during the current fiscal year cover a wide range of sectors including education, water, agriculture, irrigation, transportation, real estate, and construction sectors.
