Cairo – Mubasher: The petroleum sector ranked first in terms of the value of pipeline and completed projects in Egypt with 326 projects at a cost of EGP 1.1 trillion from July 2014 to June 2021.
A total of 97 projects have been completed at a cost of EGP 1 trillion, while 229 projects will be established at a cost of more than EGP 47 billion during the coming fiscal year, according to a report released by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development on Monday.
As for the electricity and renewable energy, a total of 538 projects have been built at a cost of EGP 387 billion and the pipeline includes 43 projects at a cost of EGP 88 billion.
A total of 1,426 projects in the housing, utilities, and slum development sector have been constructed at a cost of EGP 208 billion, while 3,696 projects are under construction at a cost of EGP 830 billion.
The Egyptian minister of planning and economic development Hala El-Saeed revealed that the number of completed and under-construction developmental projects from July 2014 until June 2021 reached about 25,000 at a combined cost of more than EGP 4 trillion.
