Egypt expects to record zero COVID-19 infections by mid-July

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt expects to record zero infections of coronavirus (COVID-19) by mid-July when the tally is forecast to reach 37,000, minister of higher education and scientific research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said.

This statement came during the inauguration of Bashayer El-Khair 3 housing project in Alexandria by the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, according to state TV.

It is noteworthy that the total number of COVID-19 infections reached 14,229 after the Ministry of Health confirmed the detection of a record 745 new cases on Wednesday. The death toll reached 680, while the number of recoveries amounted to 3,994.
