Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s exports to the US grew in 2016 by 12.3% year-on-year, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said on Sunday.
Egyptian exports to the US totalled EGP 10.6 billion in 2016, compared to EGP 9.4 billion in 2015.
Readymade garments topped the list of goods with 56.1% of total exports to the US, amounting to EGP 5.9 billion.
On the other hand, total US imports to Egypt reached EGP 36.5 billion in 2016, representing 5.5% of Egypt's imports from the world.
During 2016, 184,300 US tourists visited Egypt, 2.3% down from 188,700 tourists in 2015.
