Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of trade and industry Nevine Gamea announced extending the ban on the exports of surgical masks and protective gear for another three months.
The surplus of masks, as estimated by the Egyptian Authority for Unified Drug Procurement, Medical Supply, and Medical Technology Management, will be exported under the approval of the trade and industry minister, according to a statement on Wednesday.
The decision is aimed at providing the local market with its needs in line with the preventive measures taken to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
