Egypt eyes $10-15 investments in two years

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt seeks to attract direct and indirect investments worth $10-15 billion during the coming two years, compared to $6.8 billion at the present time, said Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Saturday.

“Last year, Egypt was placed in the 122nd rather than 133rd according to the business index report issued by the World Bank in 2017”, Ismail added.

Earlier, Minister of Investment Dalia Khorshid said Egypt plans to capture $10 billion investment during the fiscal year 2016/17.

Ex-Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman reported that investment flow in 2014/15 rose by 56.1% year-on-year to $6.4 billion from $4.1 billion.
