Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt anticipates nearly $1 billion worth of investments in the renewable energy sector through the fiscal year 2015/16, said Sharif Etefa, Minister of Investment adviser.
The investment ministry paved the way for the establishment of nearly 40 companies in this sector, assorted between 15 foreign companies and 25 local ones, noted Etefa.
The new energy tariffs that aim to produce around 4,300 megawatts, will contribute in attracting investments amount to nearly EGP 6 billion through the upcoming few years.
