Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian industrial food exports to the Kenyan market surged 53% in 2016 on an annual basis, said Manar Nasr, executive head of the Food Export Council Egypt (FECEG).
Egypt's exports of industrial food products to Kenya reached $52 million in 2016, up from $34 million in 2015, Nasr said in a statement released Thursday.
The FECEG is planning to increase Egyptian exports to Kenya by annual rate of 15% till 2020, the top official said, highlighting that Egyptian food products enjoy competitive benefits in the Kenyan market.
The council is also coordinating with banks to boost and facilitate trade between Egyptian exporters and Kenyan importers, she added.
