Egypt eyes EGP 455m investment in culture sector

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian government aims at investing EGP 455 million in the culture sector, planning minister Hala El-Said said in a statement on Monday.

The government is seeking expansion in providing cultural services for citizens through implementing and developing 23 cultural palaces, as well as developing a number of museums, theatres, and libraries, El-Said highlighted.

The minister indicated that the government is working on the Egyptian Film Centre’s reform project and the development of the Egyptian Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, in addition to bolstering and promoting traditional crafts.
