Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt aims to raise its textile exports to $12 billion by 2025 from the current $3 billion, chairman of Textile Export Council of Egypt Magdy Tolba said.
Such increase in textile exports would create about 500,000 jobs and one million training opportunities, Tolba added in a joint statement released by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Trade and Industry on Monday.
This came during the signing of settlement agreements with nine companies to settle their export subsidy arrears owed by the Export Development Fund.
