Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Ministry of Finance (MoF) has unveiled a group of measures aimed at promoting the electronic payment of government services’ fees, customs, and taxes.
The new measures enable Egyptian citizens to pay fees of government services through a variety of bank cards with no ceiling in terms of amounts, according to a circulation published by the MoF.
Meanwhile, head of accounting and financial directorates at the MoF, Emad Awad, directed government administrations not to issue any cash supply form for amounts below EGP 4,000.
In April, the MoF installed 7,000 point-of-sale (POS) terminals at governmental institutes, universities, traffic departments, neighbourhoods, and registration offices for the payment of government services’ fees.
