Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s supply and internal trading minister, Ali Meselhy, has laid the cornerstone for the first logistic zone in Menoufia governorate at a total investment value of EGP 2 billion.
Spanning an area of 54,600 square metres, the logistics zone will include a shopping mall, a hotel, and a services commercial area, the ministry recently disclosed.
The new investment is part of the whole goal of building trade zones that help boost the national economy through the establishment of commercial complexes where people can find commercial activities, as well as creating real job opportunities to the youth, Menoufia governor, Ibrahim El-Shahawy said.
Meanwhile, the head of Egypt's Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA), Ibrahim Ashmawy, said that Delta Landmark project is a milestone in the Nile Delta area, as it will offer around 5,000 direct and indirect job opportunities of which 5% will be dedicated to the people with special needs.
The project will be executed over a three-year period starting in a year and a half, said the head of the project’s executing company, Stones District, Hany El-Fiky. He added, the project will further attract 60 international brands in the local market through franchises with 300 stores in different fields.
