Egypt housing ministry to set up EGP 1bn projects in S.Sinai

Cairo – Mubasher: The housing ministry's Central Agency for Development will implement a number of development projects in South Sinai with EGP 1 billion in investments, housing minister Mostafa Madbouli said in a statement on Tuesday.

The projects will be executed in the fields of roads, housing, integrated development for Bedouin communities, slums’ development, the lighting of villages, Madbouli added.

This will contribute to improving the quality of roads and services provided to citizens and developing remote villages and Bedouin communities, the minister highlighted.

For his part, the Central Agency for Development’s head Mostafa El-Agouz said that the agency’s plan includes executing four projects in the field of roads at a cost of EGP 120 million.

Moreover, the agency is working on building approximately 180 Bedouin houses at a cost of EGP 40 million, he indicated.
