Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation is currently implementing several projects at a total cost of EGP 100 billion.
The ministry is on track to complete the national project for canal rehabilitation at total lengths of 6,185 kilometres (km) and with at a cost of EGP 18 billion by 2022, the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Mohamed Abdel Aty, said in a statement on Wednesday.
The minster directed state bodies to expedite the implementation of converting agricultural areas to modern irrigation technologies that help reduce water loss.
