Cairo – Mubasher: The inflation rate in Egypt is expected to reach 22.3% in 2017 as compared to the forecasts of 20.2% announced in March, according to a recent report by Focus Econoimcs on the MENA region’s consensus forecasts for April.
The report expected a significant decline in Egypt’s inflation to average 13.9% in 2018.
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) had recently announced that the inflation rate in Egypt has reached 33.1% in February, compared to 30.86% in January.
Focus Economics noted that the Egypt's GDP growth is projected to reach 3% in the current fiscal year, with forecasts of a higher GDP of 3.8% in the coming one.
