Egypt injects $10.2bn into Africa in 2018 – El-Sisi

Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Sunday said that Egypt’s investments in Africa rose by $1.2 billion in 2018, reaching $10.2 billion.

Egypt is willing to boost its investments in the world's second largest continent, he added in a speech on the sidelines of the Africa 2018 Forum, being held from 8 to 9 December in Sharm El Sheikh.

The North African nation is looking to raise investment in Africa in a bid to achieve common interests, as well as encourage cooperation and expertise exchange between Egypt and the African countries, the president noted.

El-Sisi has called investors from all the African countries to consider the available investment opportunities in Egypt.

He also stressed that Egypt and its counterparts in the continent have to double mutual efforts to reinforce cooperation, economic integration, and development.
