Egypt injects EGP22.5bn into road projects in 3yrs - Minister

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s transport minister Hisham Arafat said that about EGP 22.5 billion have been pumped into road projects since 30 June 2014.

These projects include the construction of four axes over the Nile last year at a cost of EGP 1.9 billion, Arafat highlighted.

In October 2017, Egypt’s transport minister said that ministry was planning to develop the transport sector by establishing new roads and bridges worth EGP 72.7 billion.

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport’s General Authority for Roads, Bridges and Land Transport will deliver new four projects at a cost of EGP 1.5 billion by the end of January.
