Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian petroleum minister Tarek El Molla has signed three agreements for oil and natural gas exploration and production in North Sinai and the Gulf of Suez.
The first agreement was inked by Ganoub El-Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope) and the British GHP Cooperation to drill new four wells at Gabal El Zeit concession in the south of the Suez Gulf with nearly $6 million in investments, according to a press release.
The second agreement was signed with Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) for oil and gas exploration in Ras Fanar, and the third agreement was inked with the EGPC and Perenco UK for oil and gas exploration at in North Sinai maritime concession.
The ministry had signed around 83 oil and gas exploration agreements with foreign companies operating in the North African nation since November 2013, El Molla said. The value of the three deals wasn't disclosed.
