Egypt inks EGP 295m deal to build new substation in Alexandria

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) signed a contract with a consortium comprised of Hyosung, TBEA Hengyang, and Tbea Zonfa to build Alex West substation, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Wednesday.

The contract includes establishing 220/66/11 kilovolt (kV) substation in Alexandria at a cost of EGP 295 million to be financed from the company’s own resources, EETC’s Chairman, Sabah Mashaly, said.

The project will be implemented over a 12-month period starting from the date of signing the deal.
