Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt installed 134 cameras in Giza Train Station at a value of EGP 13.3 million, the Minister of Transportation Hesham Arafat said.
These cameras will contribute to following-up passengers, their safety, and securing buildings in train stations, Arafat added, according to a statement.
The official further noted that the ministry is currently working on to install cameras in Mansoura and Beni Suef train stations.
On a related note, the government previously installed cameras in train stations at Aswan, Luxor, Qena, Sohag, Asyut, Minya, Zagazig, Ismailia, Tanta, Cairo, Sidi Gaber railway station, and in Egyptian Railway Museum.
