Egypt investing EGP187m in butane production

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian ministry of petroleum said that the investment cost of butane and naphtha production project in Assiut Oil Refining Company (ASORC) amounts to EGP 187 million ($10.11 million), with a production capacity of 400,000 tonnes per year.

According to the ministry’s statement on Monday, the project aims at raising butane production from 60 tonnes per dat to 120 tonnes reaching 190 tonnes per day after beginning the operating of the high-octane gasoline production complex.

Trial operating was conducted in November 2016, the statement revealed, adding that it was designed and excuted by Enppi and Petroject.
