Egypt invests $10.2bn in oil, gas sectors in FY18/19

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has invested $10.2 billion in the exploration, development, and operation of oil and natural gas fields during fiscal year 2018/2019, according to the Egyptian Cabinet’s annual report.

Total investments injected into oil sector reached $6.5 billion, while an amount of $3.7 billion was pumped into natural gas sector in the most populous Arab nation, the report revealed.

The North African nation’s crude oil, butane, and condensate output rose by 100% year-on-year to 32.1 million tonnes in FY18/19.
