Egypt invests EGP 1.1bn in upgrading North Cairo electricity networks

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt invested EGP 1.1 billion in upgrading the electricity networks of North Cairo Electricity Distribution Company during fiscal year 2019/2020 and allocated EGP 270 million for the replacement and renewal works.

The North Cairo Electricity Distribution Company serves 5 million subscribers in North and East Cairo as well as New Cairo City, along with a part of Qaliubiya, including Obour City, Shoubra El-Kheima, El-Qanater, and Bahtim, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Shaker, announced in a statement on Tuesday.
