Egypt invests EGP 385m in developing power grid in South El-Sharkia

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy invested about EGP 385 million in replacement and expansion works of the electricity network in South El-Sharkia from July 2014 to February 2021.

These works are aimed at improving the performance of the electricity network in South El-Sharkia which has about 900,000 subscribers, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

The expansion, renovation, and replacement works included seven medium-voltage distributors, 950 substations and electricity boxes, 1,300 medium-voltage overhead power poles, and 75 kilometres (km) of medium-voltage overhead power lines.
