Egypt invests EGP 6.9bn in 6th of October development projects

Cairo – Mubasher: The 6th Of October City Authority has injected EGP 6.9 billion in investments to implement fiscal year 2017/2018 development project plan, up from the approved scheme of EGP 5.7 billion in the same period, prime minister Mostafa Madbouly said.

The authority invested around EGP 2.41 billion in piped water, sewage, roads, electricity, and telecommunication projects, he added.

The premier indicated that around EGP 2.223 billion were invested in 6th Of October City’s social housing projects, in addition to EGP 2.164 billion in Dar Masr and Sakan Masr housing projects for the middle-income brackets, and EGP 104 million in public service buildings.

In May, the housing ministry’s New Urban Communities Authority invested EGP 2.5 billion, bringing total investments to EGP 33.5 billion in the first eleven months of the previous fiscal year.
