Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Planning and Economic Development has directed EGP 944 million worth of investments into 202 projects during fiscal year 2018/2019.
These investments were injected into the establishment of developmental projects in several villages in Sohag, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, and Aswan, the planning minister Hala El-Saeed said in a statement on Sunday.
A total of 102 projects were established in 68 villages, benefiting about 1.3 million Egyptians, she added.
El-Saeed further revealed plans to finance projects in 143 villages during the current fiscal year, she pointed out.
Moreover, total investments allocated to Fayoum reached EGP 2.05 billion during FY19/20 for 173 developmental projects in housing, local development, education, and irrigation sectors.
A total of 351 projects were established in FY18/19 at a total cost of about EGP 379 million.
