Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt is set to build the world’s largest seawater desalination plant in the city of Ain Sokhna, according to the head of the Egyptian Armed Forces Engineering Authority, Kamal El-Wazeir, Egypt Independent reported on Wednesday.
The plant is expected to have a capacity to purify 164,000 cubic meters of seawater per day, El-Wazeir indicated.
The facility, which is currently under construction, will serve the Suez Canal economic zone.
