Egypt launches $2.3bn oil projects in Assiut

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is working on two major oil refining projects in Upper Egypt, with total investments of $2.3 billion (EGP 39.47 billion), Egyptian oil minister Tarek Al Molla stated on Tuesday.

Situated in Assiut, the two projects will contribute to Egypt’s endeavours to achieve self-sufficiency in different petroleum products, the minister added.

Egyptian companies ENPPI Petroleum and Petrojet will execute the projects in collaboration with global companies, Al Molla revealed.
