Cairo-Mubasher: The application of tax resolution law approved by the parliament is expected to bring in around EGP 15 billion from thousands of tax disputes pending before courts, according to Amr Al-Mounir, deputy finance minister for tax policies.
The new law will settle disputes which may arise from the application of the income tax law and other taxes, Al-Mounir added.
The parliament also approved late August the value added tax (VAT) draft law as part of the government's reform plan to generate higher revenues and bridge the country's budget deficit.
