Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Customs Authority on Tuesday has announced the customs dollar exchange rate against the Egyptian pound for this month.
As for essential and strategic commodities, Egypt will keep its customs exchange rate unchanged at EGP 16 per US dollar for January, the authority said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the customs USD rate for non-essential commodities will be set at EGP 17.9739.
The Ministry of Finance (MOF) had decided to keep the customs USD rate steady at EGP 16 as of December 2018 for essential commodities and to apply the exchange rate announced by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on non-essential goods.
