Egypt makes new oil discovery in Western Desert

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced a new oil discovery in ASH-2 in the Abu Senan area in the Western Desert.

The discovery was made after Borg El-Arab Petroleum Company has drilled several exploratory oil and gas wells, according to a statement on Thursday.

The wells have a production capacity of 7,000 barrels of crude oil per day and 10 million cubic feet of gas per day, which will boost Egypt’s oil reserves and production rates.
