Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s manufacturing index moved slightly lower by 0.3% in September to reach 119.09 (preliminary), from 119.42 (final) in August, 2015, according to state-run statistics body.
The Central Agency for Public Mobilization And Statistics (CAPMAS) ascribed the fall in June, July and September, to seasonality, as those months coincided with Ramadan, Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha.
The uncategorised machinery and equipment index fell by 31.3% in September to 182.42, compared with 265.59 in August.
Meanwhile, beverage manufacturing index rose by 58.5% to 178.11, from 118.08 in August.
