Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian government may sign an agreement with France to purchase 24 Rafale fighter aircraft this year, French Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly has said.
In January, the North African nation inked communications security agreement with the US to buy high-precision GPS-based air-to-ground weapons systems and components and to develop US-made Scalp cruise missiles.
In December 2017, Egypt received the last patch of Rafale aircraft after getting three jets, as part of a transaction with France which is valued at $5.2 billion.
