Egypt may receive last tranche of IMF loan in June

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is expected to receive the last tranche of a $12 billion loan presented by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The $2 billion tranche may be disbursed in June or July, deputy finance minister for monetary policies Ahmed Kojak said on Friday, according to the Middle East News Agency (MENA).

A group of meetings will be held with IMF officials to the review of the Egyptian economic reform programme, he noted, adding that an IMF technical delegation is currently in Egypt.

Kojak announced that the relations between Egypt and the fund were not limited to finance.
