Cairo – Mubahser: Egypt came in the 93rd place in the global competitiveness index, according to the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) global competitiveness report for 2019.
The North African nation moved up one place in 2019 when compared to the previous year.
Among 141 countries, Egypt climbed 20 places to rank 82nd in institutions component, four places to 52nd in infrastructure, and four places to 126th in the labour market.

It is noteworthy that the UAE topped the Arab countries and came in the 25th spot in the global competitiveness index.
Globally, Singapore was named as the world’s most competitive country, followed by the US.
