Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Ministry of Housing is currently implementing 1 million housing units as part of a five-year plan.
A total of 670,000 units have been completed in social, luxury, middle-income, and slum-development projects, minister of housing Assem El-Gazzar said on the sidelines of ‘The Big Construct Egypt’ exhibition on Monday.
About 400,000 social housing units have been implemented, while 210,000 other units are currently being established, he added.
In addition, around 165,000 luxury and middle-income housing units have been executed, El-Gazzar revealed.
As for slum-development projects, 105,000 units have been established, while 115,000 units are due for completion by December, he noted.
